The Bukit Batok Nature Park is located in the middle of Singapore, on the west of the massive Central Catchment Reserve. It is a medium sized park easy to walk with a pretty high density of wildlife. The park was developed on an abandoned quarry site in 1988 and features a small lake half bordered by the artificial rock cliffs remaining from the old quarry. Note that whilst the park is relatively flat, there is a relatively steep stair section (see in the below map the sections between point E to Meeting Point 3) which might be more challenging with heavy photography gear.
It is a great spot to practice tropical forest photography with its not too dense forest – it is secondary forest – and with open areas around the central lake.
