7 days of shooting starting 2 January, 5’500 shoots, one broken camera body, and probably a week of work just to select the best shoots (ok, assuming we talk plural here), but mostly it was about friendship and passion!

I’ve started the year scouting nature locations before the arrival of my friends from Japan. From the Singapore island Pulau Ubin, the mount Faber trail, Labrador Park and Sungei Buloh it was intense but most of the time under the clouds or even the thunderstorm alert; I was getting quite concerned about the arrival of my friends 4 days later.
Luckily enough I the weather changed right when they arrived and we had beautiful weather, and boy it was hot! For 4 days we went throughout Singapore, discovered together a few ones and had a blast!
The next weekend I returned to the Singapore Botanic Gardens after a short visit in 2015, just after it became a UNESCO World Heritage Site, showing some of its birds to a colleague from work. Unfortunately my Canon EOS 7D Mark II detached itself from its lens and fell on the concrete ground of a MRT station… verdict: it’ll go to Canon Service Center. Too bad, but these things happen, I just hope it’ll be back repaired soon, until then I can still use my faithful Canon EOS 5D Mark III.
So let’s see what 2016 has in store.
