I’ve shown before that the Singapore Zoo hosts a number of wild birds enjoying a virtually unlimited supply of food, raptors, sunbirds and kingfishers (Common, Blue eared or Stork billed) can be seen there. Olive-winged Bulbul are also very frequent and often quite tame.
Visiting a zoo, it is easy to miss wild animals that are also visiting or even living there, after all most visitors are coming for the captive animals. Still, while there is beauty in exotic animals we shouldn’t forget the more common jewels just because they are more frequent… A resolution I take for 2014!
