Empty Stare of the Crowned Crane

A short Sunday visit at an overcrowded Singapore Zoo with my daughter, as treat for her recent exams, did not bring much; still I came across this Crowned Crane staring at me for a few seconds I could grab a couple of frames, unfortunately I had to heavily crop the image as I brought only a 300mm with me and had no time to install the teleconverter, luckily high quality 22MP allows for deep crop (as long as you don’t expect to print large format… ).

Image created on October 14, 2013 at the Singapore Zoo with Canon EOS 5D Mark III and Canon EF 300mm f/2.8L IS. ISO 800, f/4, 1/1000s, Evaluative metering.

If you look quickly it looked like a mouse with fireworks behind it! LOL
