Twice a day, visitors of the Jurong Bird Park can enjoy an instructive and impressive show about birds of prey: the Kings of the Skies, I systematically recommend visitors to attend this show if possible. Photographers interested in Birds in Flight photography might use the show as training ground: it is generally more challenging than in the wild as birds are flying fast and very close to you. If you can nail it at the bird park, you are likely to nail it in the wild!
I’ve slightly tighten the crop of this image to give only negative space in front of the bird, I’ve done the usual noise reduction and exposure optimisation and using detail extractor (Nik Efex Color filter) I’ve enhanced the bird details. I removed some white feathers on the wings as they were distracting elements but without making significant changes and I tweaked the eye for additional punch.
